The Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW) and Carbon Tracker Initiative are pleased to invite you to a webinar ‘How can emerging markets leapfrog to clean electricity?‘ on 12 July 2021, 1530–1700 hrs IST (1100-1230 hrs BST).

Renewable electricity is the cleanest and cheapest alternative to fuel growth in emerging markets. India is already leading the way, and other countries are also seizing the opportunity. Renewables create jobs, reduce pollution, reduce import costs, and accelerate development, achieving the trinity of jobs, growth and sustainability.

The webinar will mark the launch of the report ‘Reach for the Sun: The Emerging Market Electricity Leapfrog’ by CEEW and Carbon Tracker Initiative. The session will focus on the ongoing energy transition in India and emerging economies and its potential, and will map the pathway to align the energy transition for emerging economies with the Paris climate targets ahead of COP26.
