The Merchants of Doubt: Debunking the myths of the energy transition

Renewables are too small to matter; vested interests will prevent change; intermittency of renewables will prevent the transition. These are myths being perpetuated by climate deniers, oil and gas companies and other vested interests.

Carbon Tracker’s New Energy Strategist, Kingsmill Bond, will be explaining how and why these myths are wrong, contrasting them with the reality and casting light on the merchants of doubt. Going through the myths one by one, Kingsmill will explain how actors are willfully or ignorantly misleading the public.
