This session is organised in partnership with the UN Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) and will take place in the context of the Sustainable Innovation Forum 2015 (SIF15), during COP21 in Paris.

The discussion will focus on disclosure of fossil fuel companies’ long-term exposure to energy transition risk and how investors can best engage on this topic.

On the previous day, 7th December, Carbon Tracker will have launched a “Set of Recommended Strategic Risk and Engagement Principles for Fossil Fuel Companies” at the Sustainable Stock Exchanges (SSE) Leaders Luncheon on Climate in Paris.

This document is designed to complement the work of the PRI, the SSE and other organisations, and allow investors in fossil fuel companies to gain insights into business risks in the context of the transition to a low carbon economy.

This private roundtable will bring together 24 high-level participants among asset owners, asset managers and policy-makers in order to discuss the extent to which company business plans diverge from climate safe energy pathways and to agree on actions to be taken based on the principles.

This is a private event, by invitation only.
