Pope Francis’s landmark encyclical Laudato Si made it clear that combating climate change and protecting the environment represent religious duties. Now, Catholic organisations will convene in Rome to examine the links between fossil fuel divestment and investments in community-based renewable energy.
Mark Campanale, our founder and executive director, will join prominent speakers including Cardinal Peter Turkson (Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development), Christiana Figueres (former UNFCCC chief and architect of the Paris Agreement) and Cardinal John Ribat (President of Federation of Catholic Bishops of Oceania) to discuss the alignment between faith groups and other actors at the forefront of the clean energy transition.
