Objective:

1. To present on the cost-effectiveness of South Korea’s accelerated coal phase-out roadmap to reach the 2050 net-zero commitment,
2. identify problems associated with the power market regulations, and
3. discuss policy directions for energy transition and market reform with an aim to effectively decarbonize the Korean power sector.
