After 2021, there can be no new oil, gas or coal projects or the world will pass 1.5ºC of warming. Yet, there’s no transparency or accountability for expansion or mechanism to foster a fair transition away from fossil fuels. Carbon Tracker Initiative is partnering with the Fossil Fuel Proliferation Treaty for and bring together civil society, financial, Indigenous and political leaders for a discussion of the fossil fuel wind down imperative, the new Global Registry of Fossil Fuels and proposal for a Fossil Fuel Treaty as a compliment to the Paris Agreement.
