Companies around the world are setting net zero by 2050 targets.

Despite that, our analysis shows that of 134 carbon-intensive public companies, none are preparing their financial accounts in line with the world achieving this climate goal. Only three companies provided investors with sensitivities of what achieving net zero by 2050 might mean in their FY2021 reports – showing it can be done. This blog looks at those three reports and shows the feasibility and necessity of financial reporting against achieving net zero that investors can look for in upcoming FY2022 reports.
