The Leading Forum for Public-Private Partnerships Alongside COP

World Climate Summit has been at the forefront of catalysing change since 2010, serving as the most influential C-level business and investment forum in parallel with the annual international climate negotiations. Building on the foundations of the Paris Agreement and the Marrakech Partnership, the 15th edition of World Climate Summit 2024 aims to significantly strengthen the impact of public-private sector cooperation to achieve the policies, innovations and investments required in the real economy to reach 2030 transition targets and a net-zero and nature-positive world by 2050.

Celebrating 15 Years at UNFCCC COPs

This year marks the 15th anniversary of World Climate Summit’s presence at the UNFCCC COPs. World Climate Summit 2024 will be held alongside COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan, with a special edition in New York during the 79th UN General Assembly and New York Climate Week, providing a meeting point for key stakeholders ahead of COP29.

The Summit serves as a platform for pledges, commitments, and action plans aligned with the Paris Agreement’s objectives. Being a member of the Marrakech Partnership for Global Climate Action and an accredited observer to the UNFCCC process puts WCF at the heart of the annual climate negotiations. WCF thereby creates impact by breaking silos to step up joint climate action that delivers tangible projects and outcomes for a swift transition to a net-zero economy.

Richard Folland, Head of Policy & Engagement at Carbon Tracker, will be moderating the Plenary Session Accelerating Green Finance – The Climate Investment Roadmap to 2030
